Located in the heart of South Delhi , The Flying Saucer Cafe is a great place to catch up with friends over a drink in the evening, or spending lazy afternoons lounging away with a Sheesha. However it is not the place I recommend if you are looking for a spectacular dining experience or delicately cooked dishes packed with flavors.

Finally the clouds have parted in our city to let in some warm sunshine and I decided to grab this opportunity to get some Vitamin D while enjoying an array of food and drinks at none other than the Flying Saucer Café, Delhi. While we have all enjoyed a drink or  2, while partying out worries away till the wee hours of the morning at this place, rarely have I visited  in the day.

The Flying Saucer Delhi
White Wine Sangria

A fancy laid back place, with soothing music, lounge chairs and substantial menu it’s the perfect place to spend a lazy winter afternoon. We started with a white wine sangria which was pretty good, they have their own desi twist of cocktails, making them tad different from the regular.

The Food at Flying Saucer Cafe, Delhi

The food menu here is expansive and caters to a variety of tastes from Chats to Pasta and dimsums to Taco s everyone is sure to find something to their liking. The menu also recommends drink pairings with their Entrees which I found very interesting.

Dumpling and Steamed Wontons

We tried a variety of cuisines, beginning with 2 kinds of Dimsums– the mixed veg dumpling and the Schezwan Wontons and  went on to some kebabs, ending with Tacos. While the dumplings were average their South Indian take on the Taco had me salivating.  An aptly spiced Achari Paneer Tikka in between a flaky, soft and warm Malabari Parantha is the perfect winter comfort food.

My Carnivorous friend tried the Mutton Seekhs and also the Pesto Chicken Skewers . The Chicken Skewers served on bruschetta style on bread were her favourite, while the Mutton was aptly satisfying. The serving here are on the larger size and each dish can be shared between 3-4 people

We ended with Classic  Brownie and Ice cream Combo you can also try the winter favorite Gulab Jamun though we gave it a miss  due to our overfull  tummies. We continues to lounge around for a while longer owing to the lethargy brought on by warm sun and full bellies!

Located in the heart of South Delhi , The Flying Saucer Cafe is a great place to catch up with friends over a drink in the evening, or spending lazy afternoons lounging away with a Sheesha.

Extremely well priced at 1299 on wards , they come in a variety of flavours and basis. The food menu is extensive, portions well sized and the food above average.

However it is not the place I recommend if you are looking for a spectacular dining experience or delicately cooked dishes packed with flavors.

Owing to the loud music its not and ideal destination for children or family outings either.

Disclaimer– We were invited by Flying Saucer Cafe and therefore some portions maybe smaller than the actual serving size. The opinions expressed are my own and not influenced by any other individuals or factors
